MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS -- InterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq:IDCC), a wireless research and development company, today announced that the company has developed a 3.5GHz shared spectrum radio solution with Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees that are negotiated with spectrum databases. The initiative, the first public demonstration of its kind, makes available a new tier of guaranteed service, and is an important step in making shared spectrum an operator-ready technology.

InterDigital's 3.5GHz and TVWS dual transceiver with guaranteed QoS service software in conjunction with Spectrum Bridge's shared spectrum database is being demonstrated this week at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The solution addresses a key component of shared spectrum usage, which is an interference-free quality of service in 3.5GHz band, recently proposed by the President's Council of Advisers of Science and Technology (PCAST).
