CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Organic Plant Health, Inc. (OTCQB: OPHI), a manufacturer and distributor of organic-based, hybrid and environmentally responsible fertilizers, soil conditioners and pest controls, is pleased to provide a status update on its highly anticipated new catfish compost product.  As previously announced, Organic Plant Health has secured exclusive global distribution rights for a unique, new organic catfish-based composted soil amendment. The product is made from composted catfish manure, and is the only one of its kind.

The product is currently in the final stages of development and is expected to be available to the company's retail partners in October of this year. Since announcing the product to the public in August Organic Plant Health has received many inquiries from farmers, commercial landscapers and retailers interested in purchasing the product in significant quantities - some even want to purchase the product by the ton. The product will be packaged in 20 lb. and 40 lb. bags for residential customers and available in 2000 lbs. totes, (ton sacks), and by the truckload for commercial customers, farmers and organic gardeners.

The company's catfish compost product is similar to traditional mushroom compost or Black Kow manure products in its outdoor applications, however, Organic Plant Health's new product is all natural, odorless, 100% clean, and loaded with microbiology, which makes it far superior and perfectly suited for indoor use.

"I believe this product is going to be revolutionary," stated Billy Styles, President and CEO of Organic Plant Health. "These types of composts are never used indoors because of the inherent smell, but since our new product is totally odorless, residential customers will be able to use it indoors with no offensive odor, and around the house in flower and vegetable gardens, raised bed plantings and container plantings. I am very excited to begin speaking with our retailers and commercial customers about this innovative new product and all of its many uses. I firmly believe that this will be the finest product of its kind and is far superior to anything else on the market today."

The company expects the available inventory of this new product to exceed 300 tons per year by the end of 2013.
