Citigroup Inc. (C), among other companies, is temporarily refraining from routing some trades through Knight Capital Group Inc. (KCG) while the market-making firm recovers from software glitches, Bloomberg News reported Thursday citing a person with direct knowledge of the matter.
Knight sent a request to Citigroup to limit its transactions, the person told Bloomberg.
Both the spokesman at Citigroup and media relations chief at Knight declined to comment to Bloomberg.
Investment management company Vanguard Group is also routing trades through other vendors, a company spokesman told Bloomberg in an emailed statement. A TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (AMTD) spokeswoman said the online brokerage hasn't begun routing trades through Knight, according to Bloomberg.
