Sunoco Inc. (SUN) on July 31 restarted FCCU 868 in the Point Breeze section of its Philadelphia refinery after 8 days of unplanned maintenance. Planned flaring through July 28 at ExxonMobil's (XOM) 151,000 barrel-a-day refinery in Torrance, Calif., signals the restart of various units, according to traders doing business with the refinery. Several units, including a coker and hydrotreater, had been under going maintenance since early June.
