Some board members at Procter & Gamble Co. (PG), unhappy with chief executive Robert McDonald's performance, are considering having him replaced, Bloomberg News reported Thursday citing people familiar with the situation.
The directors are discussing approaching former executives on taking the job, one of the people told Bloomberg.
Board member James McNerney, who is also chief executive at Boeing Co. (BA), has told other members he is dissatisfied with McDonald's performance, especially after the company thrice cut forecasts this year, Bloomberg reported another person as saying.
A spokesman for P&G declined to comment, while McNerney wasn't immediately available for comment through his spokesman, Bloomberg said.
