Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) said Tuesday that production at its refinery in Beaumont, Texas, will be hindered because of a problem with the refinery's alkylation unit.
A malfunctioning valve on the unit caused flaring at the 344,500 barrel-a-day refinery, Exxon said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
"The refinery anticipates some impact to production," Exxon said in its filings, adding that it would still be able to meet all customers' supply needs.
