Early production stage hydrogen generation company AlumiFuel Power Corporation (OTCBB: AFPW) (the "Company") through its operating subsidiaries, announced today that its U.S. and Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) patent filings have entered into a new phase.

The Company originally filed its "Omnibus Patent" as a U.S. Provisional Patent in September, 2009. This application covered a series of claims relating to novel methods and equipment for the production of hydrogen and energy tailored to meet the specific portable power requirements of various end-user applications. This "Omnibus Patent" application encompassed reactant chemical mixes, reactor vessels, proprietary additives and packaging. In April 2010, this same "Omnibus Patent" application was filed under the International Phase of the PCT, claiming the priority of the U.S. Provisional Patent application.

With the requisite passage of 30 months, the Company has now entered into the Regional and National Phase of the PCT. The Regional Phase entails a new filing of the "Omnibus Patent" covering 18 countries in Western Europe and Poland, while the National Phase involves new Non-Provisional filings of the "Omnibus Patent" in the U.S. and Canada.

The President & CEO of the Company's operating subsidiary, Mr. David Cade, said, "This new phase of patent filings provides continuing meaningful patent protection for the Company and its shareholders. Based on the opinion of our highly esteemed patent counsel, this novel technology does not infringe on any known prior art as reflected in issued and unexpired patents."
