Intel Chief Executive Officer Paul Otellini "would certainly hope" that his successor will be tapped from within the company, he told Bloomberg TV on Tuesday.
When asked if Chief Operating Officer Brian Krzanich is likely to succeed him, Otellini said, "he's one of a strong stable of candidates."
"We're a company that's always gone from within," he told Bloomberg. "My job to groom handfuls of people the board can look at."
