German pay TV operator Sky Deutschland (SKYD.XE) said Tuesday it will pay an average license fee of EUR486 million per season for the right to broadcast soccer games of Germany's Bundesliga.

Sky Deutschland has been granted exclusive rights for pay-TV broadcasting via cable, internet and mobile platforms, the company said. The four-year agreement is valid for the seasons 2013-14 to 2016-17.

News Corp. (NWS), which owns Dow Jones & Co., publisher of this newswire and The Wall Street Journal, has a 49.9% stake in Sky Deutschland.
