The California Public Employees' Retirement System plans to sell about $1.5 billion in private equity fund stakes, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing three people with knowledge of the matter.
In contrast to Calpers' sale of partial interests in funds last year, this time the pension system intends to sell entire stakes, Bloomberg reported.
Calpers' private equity investments were valued at $33.3 billion as of April 6, the report said.
