Air India Ltd. is seeking compensation of nearly $1 billion from Boeing Co. (BA) because of delayed aircraft deliveries, Reuters reported Thursday, citing a person with direct knowledge of the matter.
A Boeing spokeswoman couldn't be reached immediately for comment, Reuters said.
According to the report, a 2005 order for up to 50 planes worth about $6 billion has been delayed by more than three years.
