INFRAX SYSTEMS, Inc. (OTCBB: IFXY), a global provider of unified Smart Grid-related products and services for the Energy and Utility industries, announced today that its Lockwood Technology business unit had secured additional contracts to automate asset management for two municipal clients.

As previously disclosed, Infrax Systems acquired 70% interest in Lockwood Technologies in April 2011 and the new contracts are the first contracts completed after the transaction. Additionally, Lockwood Technology also announced the release of Version 11.0 of their enterprise software platform and is in the process of upgrading a wide array of existing customers to the new platform.

Lockwood's Asset Tracking Management Software automates the major aspects of the Asset Life Cycle. The Product suite is made up of modules, which are able to operate independently of one another, are able to be configured to work together, or to be integrated with non-Lockwood applications. Lockwood's software easily tracks assets using bar coding, radio frequency (RFID), imaging, and wireless technologies. The latest version of Lockwood software includes major enhancements to their purchase order processing, supply chain management and asset management capabilities.

The DockManager module for shipping and receiving has been enhanced to provide seemless integration with the POmanager application. The DockManager module provides web-based shipping and receiving against purchase orders and is now browser agnostic providing greater user flexibility.

The StockManager module graphical user interface, which provides users with the ability to track and manage supplies, spares and consumables, has been revamped to mimic the user interface of the Asset Tracker application and the interaction between the two applications is now more tightly linked. Users can now browse and reserve parts while administering work orders, greatly improving supply chain management.

Several enhancements have been made to the Asset Tracker module as well. This module has been upgraded to enhance the current RFID automatic data capture capability including real time location tracking utilizing Wi-Fi. Additionally, the Help Desk component has been upgraded to provide for automatic linkage to the StockManager module, enabling the operator to reserve parts and supplies needed to complete a work order and associate the consumption directly back to the work order.

"We are very pleased with the recent developments and excited about the interest in the Lockwood asset management platform that has been expressed by our municipal and utility contacts," said Paul J. Aiello, CEO of Infrax. "We expect that the introduction of Lockwood's products into our existing sales channel will continue to increase the deployment of Lockwood's robust applications."

Infrax plans to incorporate Lockwood's RFID tracking solutions into its complete product portfolio and to continue to expand their Integration Partner and affiliate programs. Lockwood's current integration partners include Microsoft, Motorola, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics and GovPlace.
