Under the program, EarthSearch "LogiBoxx" integrated GPS/RFID system, in conjunction with NairaNet Technology, has developed a network to wirelessly monitor student attendance and access control at Nigerian schools nationwide. The LogiBoxx technology will provide school authorities with not only access to real-time information on a particular student's class attendance, which would be useful for school administrators to take proactive steps against truancy, but would also enhance access control and security at schools to prevent kidnappings which has become an epidemic within the African nation.
