Infrax Systems (IFXY) Introduces Smart Grid's Revolutionary GridMesh(TM) Secure Wireless Communication Platform
January 26 2011 - 8:00AM
Marketwired
Infrax Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: IFXY), a global provider of unified
Smart Grid-related products and services for the Energy and Utility
industries, announced today that the company will officially launch
their proprietary and revolutionary GridMesh secure wireless
communications platform at DistribuTECH 2011, February 1, in San
Diego, California.
DistribuTECH is the utility industry's leading smart grid
conference and exposition, covering automation and control systems,
energy efficiency, demand response, renewable energy integration,
advanced metering, T&D system operation and reliability, power
delivery equipment and water utility technology. Smart Grid
solutions and proprietary technologies exclusively launched by
Infrax Systems at this industry recognized show and conference,
will be demonstrated at the company's booth #547.
"Through our strategic acquisitions, we have created a
revolutionary wireless broadband infrastructure platform known as
GridMesh, that addresses the challenges that have made our secure
communication layer/solution a cut above the competition," states
Paul J. Aiello, CEO of Infrax Systems. "Our GridMesh platform takes
advantage of the less crowded wireless spectrum in conjunction with
proprietary protocols and routing algorithms we have developed that
enable our customers to cost effectively deploy a reliable carrier
grade two-way communications infrastructure."
This platform also allows Infrax Systems' customers to take
advantage interference free, pristine RF frequencies without the
expense of a license. This combination of proprietary protocols and
unique RF capabilities makes this infrastructure more secure than
any other product available on the market today. This platform also
includes a secure, long range, "Middle-Mile" backhaul solution that
provides the first truly complete end-to-end solution from a single
vendor.
The GridMesh platform consists of high power base station
collectors that bring the GridMesh traffic back onto the utility's
WAN. Each meter is fitted with a GridMesh wireless module that is
integrated onto our SNIC (Secure Network Interface Card).
About Infrax Systems
Infrax Systems offers a series of interrelated operational
management, communications, and grid security related products and
services known as Secure Intelligent Energy Platform (SIEP). Our
products enable a comprehensive and unified solution for
communications and applications management of the Smart Grid. SIEP™
incorporates a wide array of communications, security, device and
data management tools for Smart Grid applications such as advanced
metering solutions and grid optimization. SIEP platform creates a
unified solution to securely manage Advanced Metering
Infrastructure (AMI) and distribution automation. Infrax's secure
smart grid platform, incorporates a communications transport and
management system, (GridMesh™), device and data security
management, and ultimately secures intelligent endpoint devices
(SIED). The secure management of the "last mile" backhaul will be
necessary for utilities to implement Smart Grid applications
including AMI, real-time pricing, Demand Side Management (DSM),
Distribution Monitoring and Automation. When combined, these
applications can offer economic, operational and environmental
benefits for utilities, and ultimately the utility's customers.
