Swiss computer peripherals maker Logitech International SA (LOGN.VX) expects emerging markets to generate higher sales growth for the company than elsewhere, Chief Financial Officer Erik Bardman said Wednesday.
For its main products, including keyboards and computer mice, Logitech expects to achieve annual sales growth of 10% in the medium term across all markets, but forecasts higher rates in emerging markets, Bardman said at the annual Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecoms conference in Barcelona. He added that he sees significant potential in China and Eastern Europe.
Growth rates for products used in digital homes--specially equipped houses for which Logitech supplies products--are expected to be higher, at around 25%, Bardman said.
Logitech has a partnership with Google Inc. (GOOG), providing hardware for the U.S. company's television project.
"We have a very good partnership with Google," Bardman said, but didn't elaborate as it is "early days."
