SK Telecom Co. (SKM), South Korea's largest mobile carrier by revenue, said Monday it plans to introduce a payment system for purchases made on Google Inc.'s (GOOG) Android Market so that fees will be charged directly to customers' monthly bills.
Purchases on Google's online store for applications for Android powered phones will be priced in Korean won, SK Telecom said in a statement.
The move is part of a pact with Google to expand local demand for Android Market, SK Telecom said.
