Holdings

Holdings page lists all the transactions you have made in that company.

To get to the ‘holdings’ page either, find the stock listing you are interested in on the ‘Summary’ page, and click on the underlined value in the ‘Tot Hold’ column; or in ‘summary’ again Click on the ‘Sell Ref’ Link found at the end each line.


  • Holdings table parameters

    Ref (No)
    Each Buy Transaction generates a unique reference number; sells from that holding will share that same number.

    Epic
    Company trading acronym

    Type
    There are three types in the holding/transaction tables
    B = Buy
    S = Sell
    U = user entry in cashbook

    Quantity
    Number of shares purchased

    Price
    The price per share when purchased

    Value
    The total cost of the quantity of shares purchased. (Quantity) x (Price) = (value)

    Charges
    Broker charges for trading.

    Recpt/Paymnt
    In a Buy transaction this column shows the total cost of the transaction (Value) + (charges) = (Paymnt)

    In a Sell transaction this column shows the money received from the sale.
    (Value) - (Charges) = (Recpt)

    Description
    When you use the buy/sell transaction form you can enter any notes about the Buy/sell, which are displayed here.

    Date
    Date of transaction

    Time
    Displays the time you entered for the transaction from the Buy/sell transaction form.

    Sell icons
    Click here to sell the holding. This area will remain blank for Sell and User transactions.

    R
    Remove a row by selecting the tick box in this column and clicking on the remove icon at the bottom of the table.
