Adding Criteria

Having mastered the Breakdown of Screening Criteria section of this tutorial, by now you are ready to find the exact variables you want from the six drop-down menus.

How? You merely scroll down each menu and stop the cursor over the variable you are searching for. Then automatically this is selected and added to the table below. Keep in mind that on the table, each variable's title might have been significantly abbreviated! The reason is merely to economize space on the table.

For the sake of argument, let us assume you select the following criteria:
Industry from ID & Quote Information, Market Cap and PE Ratio from Key Figures, and PQ Ratio from the Deeper Analysis menu.
The respective columns are added in your table.

As you notice the table is already sorted by the variable of Company Name in alphabetical order, and therefore ABBOTT LABORATORIES appears on the top. In order to sort the table of companies by a different variable, you click on the title of the variable once. For example, if you want to sort the companies by their PE Ratio, you have to click on the title of the respective column.
Click on the title a second time to invert the order.

You can continue adding as many criteria as you wish. When you decide you need to discard some of them, click on the indicated 'Remove' text above the column you want to delete. Also, once you have added a number of criteria, you may need some extra space on the table. To do so, click on the 'Hide' text above Company Name and the whole column will vanish (without being deleted). To make it reappear just click on the arrow-symbol.
